If I saw them, I'd have to make sure to thank them profusely. All of the new clothes I got for this came courtesy of my uncle, or rather, of one of his friends from the fair. Also, I wore chains of multicolored beads in my hair, along with the amber bead bracelet I wore everyday anyways. I was thankful for the light and airy clothes as well although the smoke from the wildfire had cleared away, it was still technically summer. After I got better with tying them, I would keep using them at school. The black boots helped not only to hide my digitigrade legs, but also to correct my stance so I could stand in one spot easier. He wore outrageous coke bottle glasses that doubled the size of his eyes, which darted to and fro unpredictably as per usual, and he had also applied a fake nose that hooked down like a hawk's beak. He was currently in costume as this character, and what a costume it was! He wore a black robe that was badly tattered around the hems and multiple belts with vials and trinkets aplenty, but the most striking part was his face. He played an eccentric merchant who takes over different booths at random, and due to how goofy and over-the-top his antics were, he always brought more sales to whichever booth he decided to set up at. You never knew when you'd see him, but when you did, you'd be in for a good time. Apparently, Uncle Fred was a staple of the event as he worked with several different vendors at the fair as a character actor. I had heard about these types of events before, but today was going to be my first time at ye olde renaissance faire. This weekend was going to be quite fun indeed. Even as I shook my head, I found myself smiling. Geez, that was a really good creepy voice. "What, you'd rather I talk like this? If that is what you wish, I will oblige, keh heh heh!"
He smiled, then crinkled up his face like some sort of goblin. I rolled my eyes as he swept his robe behind him and crouched down to assist me. "I shall help you with that then, milady," he said in a knightly accent. "I can't tie my boots, the shoelace is too small." I was trying to use my newfound telekinesis abilities to make the knots, but it was too loose every time.
